Why do I need a web site ?

You can publish all minutes and other documents on the web so that all members of the organisation, including parents, children, employees, can be involved in your activities.
This encourages children to become involved with the internet... an essential tool for their future !

You can advertise sponsors on your web site, and may encourage a larger sponsorship !
You could set up an E/mail address for receiving and distributing ideas
You can advertise your new web site name in any letter heads etc to show that you embrace the new technologies

This depends on what you want, but here is a breakdown of possible choices :

Your own domain name such as our_pta.org.uk costs about Ł30 for 2 years.
Publishing a frozen set of up to 6 pages, describing who you are and where to find you
For each page to be updated in the future (publishing minutes etc) would be a charge per page changed
OR you may choose to be shown how to maintain your own site, and this service is available too.
Costs will also vary according to how many pictures you wish to publish, and whether you already have the pictures available.
