Race Rules

BEFORE : Practice is recommended during the 5 minutes before the ‘OFF’.

START : The ‘Owner’ holds the frog upright until the referee blows the whistle. The ‘Owner’ then releases the frog.

NO PUSHING, WAGGLING or UNSPORTING CONDUCT, PLEASE !!

DURING : The ‘Owner’ does not touch the rope, unless the frog is ‘IN DISTRESS’. The 'Jockey' pulls and releases the rope in order to move the frog along the course.

END : The ‘WINNER’ is the first frog flat and FULLY OVER THE LINE ! The referee’s decision is FINAL ! The race ends when the first 3 are over the line.

NEXT : The Winner receives a prize. In the 6 main heats, 1st and 2nd go through to the semi finals. In the semi finals, 1st,2nd and 3rd go into the FINAL.
